Flooding and storm damage in Rockford

365 Restoration responds to water and storm damage in Rockford, IL, 24 hours a day. Water reaches houses here from the Rock River in spring, from Keith Creek and other creeks after a cloudburst, and from pipes that split in a hard freeze. We pump it out, dry the house and keep dated photos and moisture readings for every room.

Rockford in particular

River, creek and cold

The Rock River comes down from Wisconsin and rises with snowmelt and spring rain. The creeks rise with summer storms, and July 2024 showed how fast they can fill a whole street of basements overnight. Winter adds split pipes: Rockford set its all-time record low in 2019.

    Derecho winds and quick tornadoes

Common questions

Rockford questions

The Rock River is coming up. What should I move first?

Carry upstairs what you cannot replace: papers, photos, medicine. If water could reach the outlets, shut off power to the basement only while standing on a dry floor, and leave when officials tell you to. Call us once it is safe to go back in.

Water came up my basement drain after a storm. Can I clean it myself?

Assume it carried sewage. The IICRC standard treats that as Category 3 water, so soaked drywall, carpet and pad usually have to come out. If you start before we arrive, wear gloves and boots and keep kids out.

Do you cover Loves Park, Machesney Park and Belvidere?

Send the ZIP code and we answer on the call back, which comes in under 10 minutes. That same call tells you how long a crew takes to reach you.

Will insurance cover my flooded basement?

Ask your insurer whether your policy covers sewer backup or flood water, since only they can answer that. We do not file, negotiate or adjust claims. We give you dated photos and moisture readings from every visit.
