Storm and water damage in San Antonio

365 Restoration responds to water and storm damage across San Antonio and Bexar County, 24 hours a day. The SBA declared a disaster in Bexar County in September 2026 for the August 28 storms, and houses in the affected neighborhoods are still drying. San Antonio in particular

The August storms are still in the walls

Bexar and the seven surrounding counties are covered by the SBA declaration for the August 28 storms. A lot of roofs got a tarp and never got dried underneath. If yours is one of them, the water that got in that night can still be in the insulation and drywall.

    What the storm did

San Antonio International Airport measured a 77 mph wind gust on August 28, 2026. The storm brought flash flooding and cut power to more than 100,000 customers. The National Weather Service confirmed no tornadoes, and the damage came from straight-line wind.

The declaration came from the SBA

On September 14, 2026, the U.S. Small Business Administration declared a disaster for the August 28 storms, which opens low-interest federal loans separate from FEMA and separate from your insurance. Homeowners can borrow up to $500,000 to repair a primary home, and renters up to $100,000 for their belongings. Applications for physical damage are due November 9, 2026.

    The declaration covers eight counties

Bexar plus Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina and Wilson. If you are in any of them and a ceiling has started to stain, have the moisture measured before it spreads.

A tarp only stops new water

Covering the opening stops new water. It does nothing about the insulation and drywall that already soaked. That is the call we get most in this metro right now.

  5. 05

Months-old damage still reads on a meter

Moisture that has been sitting since August shows up on an instrument even when the surface feels dry. We measure before we tell you anything.

Hill Country runoff reaches the north side

Water coming off the Hill Country arrives in the northern suburbs faster than most people expect, and it does not need a hurricane to do it. The San Antonio River Authority places the city in Flash Flood Alley, and BexarFlood.org shows which low-water crossings are closed. Hail hits here too: the April 12, 2016 storm over the north side cost about $1.36 billion, the most of any Texas hailstorm at the time.

Common questions

San Antonio questions

My roof was tarped after the August storm. Do I still need you?

Probably yes, and this is the most common situation in Bexar right now. The tarp stopped new water. Whatever soaked into the insulation and drywall in August is still there unless somebody dried it and measured it.

How fast can a crew reach me in San Antonio?

We call you back in under 10 minutes with a real arrival window for your part of the county. Boerne and Floresville are a different answer from inside Loop 410, and we tell you which one you are getting.

Did FEMA declare a disaster for the August 28 storm in Bexar County?

The federal declaration for this storm came from the SBA, the U.S. Small Business Administration, on September 14, 2026. It offers low-interest loans to households and businesses in Bexar and seven nearby counties, and physical damage applications are due November 9, 2026. You apply with the SBA directly.

Is it too late to document damage from August?

No. Dated photos and moisture readings taken now are still records. We hand you the file, and you decide what to do with it.

Do you cover Boerne, New Braunfels, Schertz and Converse?

Yes. We work across Texas, and those towns are part of the San Antonio area. Give us the ZIP code and we confirm on the spot.
